About the Role

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Additional certifications or training in construction engineering are advantageous.
3-5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within heavy civil infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and utilities.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and Georgian building codes and safety standards.
Proficiency in engineering and project management software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess technical challenges and develop effective solutions.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with project managers, teams, and subcontractors.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and managing the construction of heavy civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and earthworks.

  • Interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to provide technical guidance to the project team and subcontractors.

  • Oversee project documentation, ensuring all technical aspects are recorded and tracked throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules, coordinate resources, and maintain quality control.

  • Monitor and assess on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.

  • Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and material orders, and manage the documentation of any project changes or adjustments.

  • Provide engineering support to solve field issues and technical challenges that arise during construction.

  • Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that materials and equipment meet project requirements.

  • Assist in conducting site inspections to evaluate progress and identify any potential risks or delays.

  • Maintain strong communication with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure that all technical aspects are effectively managed and executed.
